CELTIC TO GET BREWSTER ON SEASON-LONG LOAN

Scottish football heavyweights Celtic are reportedly close to completing a deal for Liverpool teen star Rhian Brewster. The Scottish Premiership side are keen on acquiring the services of the teenage sensation.

Brewster is a top rated youngster at Anfield and the Reds are open to allowing him go out for further development. He played a key role as England won the Under-17 World Cup last year and was part of the young players’ former Reds coach and now Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers signed. Rodgers signed Brewster from Chelsea and is keen on working with him again at Parkhead.

There are indications that other clubs could be interested in the deal but Celtic and the Reds are in advanced stage of talks. Coach Jurgen Klopp is keen on Brewster playing in the first team for the Scottish champions as he believes it will foster the quick development of the 18-year old.

The crop of players that won that World Cup are also advancing in their various spaces. Manchester City youngster Phil Foden was linked with Celtic and other clubs but for now remains with the newly crowned Premier League champions. There are indications that he would need to go out for regular action. There is also Chelsea’s Callum Hudson-Odoi and Jadon Sancho, who features for Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund.

Celtic are looking at a number of attacking options as Moussa Dembele is increasingly likely to exit the team. OdsonneEdouard who is on loan from French giants PSG also has his future unclear.

Aside Brewster, Franco di Santo of Schalke has been linked with a summer move. The 28-year old has been rumoured to be on his way to Glasgow for several months now. He has played in the English top flight For Blackburn Rovers and Wigan Athletic and is expected to make instant impact upon return. Celtic are reported to be considering Rubin Kazan’s star SardarAzmounand ArtemDovbyk of Dnipro.
