LOUIS SAHA DISCUSSES LIFE AFTER FOOTBALL

The former Manchester United forward Louis Saha shared with the newsmen what he called “Life After Football”.

He explained that it is crystal clear that footballers make a lot of money, meanwhile, many footballers have forgotten that away from the glitzy, glamorous lifestyle, the reality for many players after retirement is just a new world.

Many footballers find it rather challenging as financial issues could be lurking around the corner after few years.

He noted that the path to bankruptcy for many is often complicated but a pattern can be traced, he believes it is rarely due to a failed business, but is frequently down to over-spending, poor investment choices and a failure to keep the taxman tuned.

The former France international spoke further that the combination of young and rich has an allure for those wishing to sell investments that pay a huge margin, be it investments that dubiously promise to reduce tax bills or simply property that is wildly over-priced. Read more

Zidane believes that Real Madrid are not the Champions League favorite

Cristiano Ronaldo, KarimBenzema, Gareth Bale, Marcelo, Toni Kroos, Sergio Ramos and Isco are just a few of the more renowned and highly rated players that play a huge role in the squad of ZinedineZidane.

It’s because of all these world-class performers that Real Madrid is considered to be as one of the best football clubs right now, maybe even the best team that is performing and they have proved it by reaching the UEFA Champions League finals where ZinedineZidane and his squad have to face off with Juventus on June 3.

Even though Real Madrid has so many top footballers, Zidane stated that at least from his own point of view, the Spanish club are actually not the favorites of winning the UEFA Champions League as Juventus has their own merits which has helped in them reaching the finals as they overcame Barcelona in the quarter-finals and As.Monaco in the semifinals as well as many other top clubs along the way. Real Madrid star Gareth Bale is set to make his return to action in the game against Espanyol in the La Liga on Saturday.

The Welshman has been on the sidelines after he picked up ankle tendon damage in the champions League game against Sporting Lisbon last November.

The club manager Zinedine Zidane said he hoped the player would return before their clash with Napoli in the second leg of the Champions League Round of 16. Real won the game but would now have him available for the return leg on March 7.

The 27-year old former Tottenham Hotspur player has returned to full training and he is now preparing for the clash with Espanyol.

“He will be in the squad and the plan is for him to have some minutes. We’re keen and he’s keen as well. Bale is a very important player for us. We know the quality and speed that he has, and the damage he can cause the opposition. He’s very happy to return to the team, to be with us, and be able to play again,” Zidane said ahead of the clash. Read more

VERATTI CHOOSES PSG OVER REAL MADRID

The Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Marco Verratti claims he denied the chance to join the Spanish side, Real Madrid and he is happy to stay with the France Ligue 1 champions at the moment.

The 23-year old was linked with a move away from Parc des Princes in recent months after a report bust-up with head coach Unai Emery, following his angry reaction to being substituted in their 0-0 draw with Marseille.

Verratti’s agent, Donati Di Campli, brought up a suggestion that media scrutiny on his client may lead him to making the decision of leaving France in favor of a possible return to Serie A, with Juventus and AC Milan rumored to have interest in having him.

Nevertheless, the Italian international insisted he’s happy with life at Paris Saint-German and has already turned down the opportunity to hold talks with Real Madrid.

“It is more than a refusal – I refused to negotiate with other clubs because I am happy in my team,” he revealed, as quoted by Le 10 Sport. “I was pleased by the interest though, but I could not but decided to stay to win here again as we do. Juventus are on another level in Italy, and they will win the title, like Bayern Munich in their championship, Manchester City, Real Madrid and us.” Read more

Real Madrid might offer a new contract to Cristiano Ronaldo

It is believed that Real Madrid is considering offering a new contract to Cristiano Ronaldo in order to keep him in Spain for the remainder of his career.

Just a few weeks back, it was reported that the Spanish side might be looking to offload their Portuguese forwards but according to some experts, things might have evolved differently in recent times.

Some people believe that a lack of possible replacement has prompted Real Madrid to keep their current star player instead of selling him. It was reported that an agreement was already in place with Paris Saint-Germain that will give the French side an advantage if ever Real Madrid decided to sell Cristiano Ronaldo.

However, with a lack of valuable replacement on the market, Real Madrid may be forced to stay with their current forward and offer him a contract extension. Given that there are other clubs such as Manchester United, Chelsea and Manchester City that will be on the market for new players in the summer, this will mean that there will be a shortage of players and too much money available. This will certainly give rise to inflationary prices, and Real Madrid will want to avoid this situation. Read more

Raul recokns club to bounce back after poor Form

Former Real Madrid star Raul reckons that the club will bounce back from their recent run of poor form. Raul held the record for the most number of goals scored for the Spanish club in the Champions League.

Even though this record has been broken by Cristiano Ronaldo in recent months, Raul still remains a legend at the club. The former Spain international recently retired from playing football and he has voiced his opinions about the poor form suffered by Carlo Ancelotti’s team in the last couple of months. After a fantastic end to 2014, the club has been struggling to produce a consistent set of results in 2015.

This has allowed Barcelona to regain the lead in the la Liga, while there have also been some embarrassing scores like the 4-0 defeat against Atletico Madrid and the 4-3 loss against Schalke. Ancelotti’s tactics have been criticised heavily during this period, while the lack of goals from Cristiano Ronaldo is also concerning the club. Raul says that it is only a phase for the team and he expects it to be dealt with in great manner by Ancelotti, who is expected to get Luka Modric back into the team against Levante. The form of Gareth Bale has also been poor during this period. Read more
